Fitness Classes
These classes are completely beginner friendly, and ground-based. We do not use the aerial equipment at all in these classes, but they provide important cross-training for aerial students! These classes accept fitness credits.
Juggling
This fun, laid back class focuses on partner exercises that build coordination, as well as solo exercises to build up to achieving a three ball cascade. More advanced topics can also be accommodated by request. Come alone or with a partner! NO experience (or coordination) required! Intended primarily for adults, but open to ages 14+. If weather permits, we might move outside.
Beginner Modern Dance
This class is open to folks of all experience levels. Learn the basics of modern dance. This technique class will build core strength and add fluid quality to movement, and allow dancers to express themselves through dance.
Dance Open Gym
For those that would like to dance, play, move, etc... but prefer accessing studio space rather than carving out space at home. Dance Open Studio is not a time to use the aerial equipment; this is a ground-based open gym, although using chairs is fine! If you hope to access aerial equipment please check out our Open Studios on Friday afternoons and Sunday evenings.
Sexy Jazz
This class is for dancers with some experience. Sexy jazz is a fun flirty take on traditional jazz dance class. You'll learn some technique while applying influences from burlesque and other sexy dance styles. Our goal is to promote confidence and empowerment through dance. All bodies welcome. Heels are optional!
Beginning Ballet for Adults
Have you ever wanted to learn ballet but never got started? Ballet can be intimidating, but do not fear! We will be going over all of the basics in a fun and adult oriented way! This class is catered to learning techniques, alignment, and terminology in a no pressure judgment free zone. No experience necessary. Wear something easy to move in.
Chair Dance
In this class we will cover the basics of chair dance by learning a choreographed routine. Learn how to comfortably move around, on and with your chair. Wear something you can move in - sexy get up or a T-shirt and leggings- we just want to see you! Heels not required.
Roll and Recover
A gentle hour, suitable as a stand-alone class, a cool down, or a warm-up. Roll across the floor like a puddle of goo, dig into pesky knots with mobility tools, and focus on breath work to find a sense of release and connection with your body
Duo Acro and Pyramids
This class is suitable for all skill levels - whether your first time in a circus class, or a student with 1000 lessons under their belt, you are welcome here! Requirements: good hygiene, comfortable being paired with and communicating with others. In this class we will explore many types of Body Balancing and weight sharing, from some basic solo and duo tumbling, to AcroYoga and 3-7 person pyramids. Base positions vary from L-shaped basing, box positions, kneeling/lunging, and standing. Learn skills that will eventually be worked into “flows” or sequences. Build human towers!
Hip Hop Dance Fit
Come DANCE and learn hip hop style choreography to favorite pop and hip hop songs. No experience necessary. Bring your big energy, wear your best kicks, don't forget your swag and leave your reserve at the door!
