COVID-19 Updates

Updated August 9th, 2021:

As COVID-19 has continued to spread, and the Delta variant has caused a sharp increase in infections, NOCA has decided to strongly encourage wearing masks during our group classes moving forward, regardless of vaccination status. We know, it's a bummer. We enjoyed those few mask-free weeks as well.

We are making this decision based on the consensus of our community. After discussions with our regular students, instructors, and performers, the strong consensus of our community was that we feel more comfortable at NOCA being masked, and being around others who are masked. While we have not decided to make this a firm requirement again, we hope that you'll choose to wear a mask out of respect for the people around you at NOCA.

In addition to this, we still have 3 HEPA filters running in our studio at all times, high standards of cleanliness, and hand sanitizer available.

You can view the comprehensive list of rules, policies, and expectations for NOCA students, instructors, performers, and observers in our NOCA Handbook.

On March 18th, 2020, NOCA closed all regular classes due to the rapid spread of the 2019 novel caronavirus. This was an incredibly difficult decision to make, as the state had not yet ordered us closed, but at NOCA, safety is a high priority, and we could clearly see that we could inherently no longer continue to do what we do safely. We remained completely closed for just over 6 months.

As the owner and founder of NOCA, I've personally been running this company for 7 years, and this is easily the most difficult challenge I've faced yet. The past few months have been terrifying, stressful, and emotional. I want to thank some people who have contributed sigfinicantly to our resiliance through this difficult time.
